Biocon 2000 — chair for pelvic floor muscle stimulation
During treatment on the Biocon 2000 chair, electromagnetic pulses activate the pelvic floor muscles. It works without direct contact, through your clothing; we’ll first discuss with you whether the method is right for you.
The electromagnetic field penetrates deep into the body and makes it possible to activate even muscle groups that are otherwise hard to reach, such as those in the pelvic floor. The muscle is activated even when the patient cannot control it voluntarily or cannot locate it.
Biocon helps us become aware of the pelvic floor muscles, strengthen them, and at the same time learn to give them time to rest and relax. The stimulation chair is an important, though not the only, part of pelvic floor physiotherapy.

How the therapy works
Therapy with the chair is always preceded by an examination by a physiotherapist, who determines whether the chair is a suitable aid, and in what regime and intensity.
The first session covers instruction by the physiotherapist, an assessment of whether the therapy is suitable, and individual settings for regime and intensity. After this initial assessment, follow-up sessions can be attended without a further physiotherapy check, unless the physiotherapist decides otherwise.

Are all chairs the same?
Different manufacturers like to emphasise certain differences, but in general chairs for external electromagnetic stimulation are similar — Biocon, Emsella, Fotona and some others.
Biocon aims to modulate the stimulation impulse so that activation is followed by release and the stimulation and relaxation phases are balanced. That is why we chose it.
